Commissioners meet Thursday morning

The first County Commission meeting of November will be conducted Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will consider are the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding overview of State of Nevada Green Zone Initiative and acceptance of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of agreement with HUD for the provision of the Primary Assistance and Transitional Housing grant.

Consideration and possible action regarding a report to the Churchill County Commission on the evaluation of the health and wellness classes offered to Churchill County employees by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension.

Consideration and possible action regarding repair of southeast roof on the Churchill County Senior Center.

Old business

Consideration and possible action regarding nominations of a Churchill County representative to the State Land Use Planning Advisory Council (SLUPAC).

Consideration and possible action regarding acknowledgment of recordation of a conservation easement on property owned by Dawn Star Properties, LLC at 7339 Pasture Road, assessor’s parcel number 006-081-03, and authorization for issuance of TDR certificates to Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding acknowledgment of recordation of a conservation easement on property owned by Daniel D. Shaw and Helen Ann Shaw at 4595 Reservoir Road, assessor’s parcel number 007-571-05, and authorization for issuance of TDR certificates to Churchill County.

New business

Consideration and possible action regarding request for transfer of funds to the city of Fallon for the Convention Center Drive project.

Consideration and possible action regarding Resolution 34-2013 in support of the completion of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s review of the Yucca Mountain license application.

Consideration and possible action regarding Resolution 35-2013 modifying the composition of the Churchill County Audit Committee.

Consideration and possible action regarding appointment of a member at-large to the Churchill County Audit Committee.

Consideration and possible action regarding Domestic Violence Intervention’s first and second quarterly reports on operations and request for funding support payment.
