Commissioners meet this afternoon

The second County Commission meeting of July will be conducted today at 1:15 p.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding update of current activities, plans or actions related to the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management, Terri Knutson, Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management.

Consideration and possible action regarding presentation of the China Spring Youth Camp overview, history and funding, Wendy Garrison, China Spring Camp.

Public Hearing-Consideration and possible action regarding Bill 20 14-C, Ordinance 12, an ordinance providing for the establishment of business license fees for public utilities doing business in Churchill County, Benjamin Shawcroft, chief civil deputy district attorney.

Consideration and possible action regarding resolution 14-2014 revised authorizing medium term obligation to purchase a dozer for the Churchill County Road Department and other matters relating thereto, Alan Kalt, comptroller.

Consideration and possible action regarding appointment to the Sending Site Review Committee; appointment to the Planning Commission and appointments to the Advisory Board to manage wildlife.

Consideration and possible action regarding Fire Department Equipment Replacement Plan and Resolution 16-2014 requesting to place ballot question on the general election ballot to support the purchase of fire equipment, Fred Rogne, fire chief.

Consideration and possible action regarding Bill2014-D, Ordinance 113, an ordinance prohibiting medical marijuana establishments in Churchill County, Benjamin Shawcroft, chief civil deputy district attorney.

Consideration and possible action regarding Resolution 17-2014, a joint resolution with the city of Fallon supporting the Interstate-11 corridor and future extension through Northern Nevada, Eleanor Lockwood, county manager.

Consideration and possible action regarding acknowledgment of recordation of a conservation easement on property owned by Brian W. and Diane L. Baley at 2140 Drumm Lane, assessor’s parcel number 006-771-53,and authorization for issuance of TDR certificates to Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding update of community cleanup projects west of Soda Lake Road and west of Tarzyn Road.

Consideration and possible action regarding Churchill County’s support of the submission of the final Nevada Land Management Task Force Report to the Legislative Committee on Public Lands concerning the Congressional Transfer of Public Lands to the State of Nevada.

Consideration and possible action regarding Second Amendment to lease agreement with Duncan Golf Management, Inc.
