County Commissioners meet this afternoon

The second County Commission meeting of June will be held today at 1:15 p.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and/or are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding recognition of employees for their years of service to Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding update of current activities, plans, or actions related to the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management, Terri Knutson, Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management.

Consideration and possible action regarding resolution 13-2014 which seeks to augment the fiscal year 2013-2014 budget in accordance with Nevada Revised Statutes, Sherry Wideman, senior accountant.

Consideration and possible action regarding agreement for court reporter services for the period of July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015, Sue Sevon, court administrator.

Consideration and possible action regarding resolution 14-2014 authorizing medium term obligation to purchase a dozer for the Churchill County Road Department and other matters relating thereto, Eleanor Lockwood, county manager.

Consideration and possible action regarding Bill 2014-C, Ordinance 12, an ordinance providing for the establishment of business license fees for public utilities doing business in Churchill County, Benjamin D. Shawcroft, civil deputy district attorney.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of business impact statement related to the public utility business license fee ordinance, Bill 2014-C, Ordinance 12, Benjamin D. Shawcroft, civil deputy district attorney.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of job description for District Attorney’s Law Clerk, Benjamin D. Shawcroft, civil deputy district attorney.

Consideration and possible action regarding letter received from the Department of Taxation regarding Churchill County’s final budget for fiscal year 2014-2015.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of addendum to interlocal contract #2011-6 with Carson Water Subconservancy District for the Lahontan Valley Water Level Measurement Program.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of interlocal contract #20 14-10 with Carson Water Subconservancy District to assist in the development of a Carson River Water Rights Dedication and Deed Tracking Database.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of an agreement for a professional services contract with Stanka Consulting, LTD to develop a database of water rights that have been dedicated to Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding canvass of the votes for the 2014 Churchill County Official Primary Election held on June 10, 2014.

Consideration and possible action regarding change of date of the second regular monthly meeting scheduled for Nov. 19, 2014.

Consideration and possible action regarding comments on the Draft Environmental Assessment evaluating the effects of TCID’s proposed Lewis Wasteway Replacement and Low Head Hydroelectric Project.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of fund balance commitments for fiscal year ending June 30, 2014 for Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding budget transfer #01-FY 2014.
