Interviews are scheduled today for five candidates seeking the job of Carson City Library director.
The Library Board of Trustees meeting and interview process will be conducted at the Business Resource Innovation Center, 108 E. Proctor St., at 9:30 a.m.
A short board meeting for public comment and other business will precede the first interview, which is set for 10 a.m.
Amy Geddes of Carlsbad, Calif., is set to be interviewed at that hour.
Mary Scott Wallace of Reno is next at 11 a.m., according to the board agenda. Diane Duquette of Pine Mountain Club, Calif., goes third at 1 p.m. Sena M. Loyd, the only candidate from Carson City, is set for 2 p.m. Angela Thornton of Muskogee, Okla., at 3 p.m. is the final candidate to be interviewed.
Earlier reports indicated that might be handled remotely with a connection to Thornton in Oklahoma.
The board then could make a selection and open the negotiating process with the person chosen, the agenda indicates, or decide to conduct additional interviews and delay hiring a director.
