Arlene Irene Avery

Arlene Irene Avery, 89 of Carson City passed away on March 20, 2014. Arlene was born to Harvey & Elizabeth Yost November 9, 1924 in Hesston, KS. She married the late Henry M. Avery in Sonora, CA in 1949 and they lived in Merced and Cathy’s Valley California before locating to Carson City in 1966. Arlene started her nursing assistant career during WWII and after raising 3 children graduated from Sierra Nevada School of Practical Nursing in 1968. Arlene is survived by three children and one grandson and their spouses: Susan and Thomas Link of Sparks, Catherine and Roger Bearden of Carson City, and Stephen and Trudy Avery of Lakewood, CO. Scott and Tara Bearden of Costa Mesa, CA. A celebration of life will be held in Carson City in late April. Fitzhenry’s Funeral Home is trusted with the arrangements.
