Apr. 6, 1925 - Nov. 22, 2014

Irene Minnie (Lotter) Hoffmann came into this world April 6, 1925 to Nicholas and Amelia Lotter of Queens, New York. After 89 years of loving and being loved she took Jesus’s hand on November 22, 2014. Irene married Charles Hoffmann in June of 1946 and together they had 3 children, Jeannie, Alan and Terry. They lived in Reno until 1957 moving to Red Bluff, CA. until November of 2009, when she moved to Fallon to be closer to her children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. To know her was to know a rare and beautiful soul who loved unconditionally. Family meant the world to her and she extended care and love to her friends and anyone in need with open arms. She did whatever she could to help those who needed food shelter, or just an honest friend. Irene’s life truly made the world a better place and she will be deeply missed. Although we will miss her deeply we will find comfort in knowing we will be together again one day, but until then, “Good Night, Irene”. Preceded in death by her parents; Nicholas and Ameila Lotter; stepmother, Anna Lotter; sister, Eleanor Jahn; son, Alan Hoffmann and companion for over 50 years, Red Goss. Irene is survived by her daughters; Terry (Tony) Kopas; Jeannie (Milt) Atkins; grandchildren, David (Kristy) Hoffmann; Annie Hoffmann; Shannan (Robert) Bickford; Victor (Francesca) Atkins; Stephanie (Anthony) Bushong; with several great-grandchildren and honorary daughter Kathy Jones and her dog Missy.
