Jul 20, 1957 - Apr 02, 2014

Armando Vicente Sherer Arrived July 20, 1957, departed April 2, 2014. Since 1989 Virginia City locals have been dazzled by his many artistic talents. With his exquisite dressmaking, costume design, tatting, crocheting, knitting, etc., Vic wowed and enchanted all he met, transforming them into dear friends. Whether it was the sparkling lights of his wheelchair wheels or the spectacular, over-the-top earrings that would make Cher envious, his presence was always announced with a lavish flair. His rapier wit and ill-mannered humor were reputed to cause unbridled outbursts of both blushing and laughter. At the end of his colorful journey, he was surrounded by loved ones. He left this world with grace, dignity and a smile on his face. Donations can be made in his memory to the Historic Fourth Ward School & Museum or St. Mary’s Art Center. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
