The Lahontan Valley Claybreakers (LVCB) repeated their winning streak at the 2014 Nevada Youth Shooting Sports Association State Shoot in June in Elko.

More than 100 youth shooters from Fallon, Elko, Ely, Yerington, Las Vegas, Reno and Carson City attended the event at the Spring Creek Trap Club.

The Top Gun Female was Fallon’s Olivia Barber with a score of 177 out of 200.

The LVCB varsity team consisting of Barber, Bryce Reid, Jarryd Williams, Dalin Conner and Dominic Rushing placed second in their division. Conner also place second in the Individual Shooter class.

The LVCB junior varsity team of West Lawrence, Andrew McArthur, Ali Pokrandt-Hook, Dakota Marsh and Brandon Burgess placed first in their division. McArthur also place third in the Individual Shooter class.

The LVCB advanced intermediate team of Zach Barnes, Tyler Word, Jacob Ledesma, Hunter Drost and Tristen Porter also took first in their division. Word place second in the individual shooter class.

The LVCB entry intermediate squad of Devin Keller, Trenton Homer, Noah Osterman, William Card and Nathaniel Klein nabbed first in their division.

The LVCB rookie club of Tony Adams, Matt Ernst and Colby Webb placed second, while Ernst took third in the individual shooter class.

Shooters placing on the NYSSA state teams were: Conner, varsity; McArthur and Lawrence, junior varsity; Word and Barnes, advanced intermediate; Ernst and Adams, rookie; Barber and Pokrandt-Hook female state team.
