Girl Scouts help Carson Animal Services

Thank you to Girl Scout Troop 399 for the very generous donation of $1,460 to Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI). Over the years, the members of Troop 399 worked hard raising money from cookie sales, money that went toward leadership activities promoting courage, confidence and character.

The girls are now young women and it was decided that the remaining money in the account be donated to CASI, and ultimately to our community’s animals in need. A special thank you to Troop Leaders Katy Williams and Reesha Powell. Their commitment to fostering community and self-worth in these generous young women cannot be overstated.

Carson Animal Services Initiative is working tirelessly to assist Carson City in acquiring funds to build a new animal shelter, and promote spay/neuter programs, educational opportunities and community outreach. For more information, please check out our website at www.friendsofcasi.org. On behalf of CASI and the animals we serve, thank you Troop 399!
