Participants will be coached on reading scenes, vocals and choreography. A vocal selection will be taught that can be used at the audition, but actors who are auditioning to play Belle, Beast, Gaston, Mrs. Potts, Lafou, Babette, Cogsworth, Chip or Lumiere are asked to prepare a one-minute-or-less vocal piece of one of the following songs — “Home” for Belle; “Something There” for Beast; “Gaston” for Gaston or Lafou; “Beauty and the Beast” for Mrs. Potts; “Human Again” for Babette, Cogsworth or Chip; and “Be Our Guest” for Lumiere.
Auditions — by appointment only — will be on Thursday, Jan. 15, and Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Performance Hall. Callbacks will be on Sunday, Jan. 18.
Performances are set for June 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14 in the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center.
