Two Carson City residents and a transient were arrested about 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of North Carson Street on felony drug-related counts.
According to their arrest reports:
A deputy went to a hotel while investigating a vehicle burglary report, and the hotel manager said he was concerned about the amount of foot traffic involving Ryan Redwine’s room. A deputy went to the room, and Redwine, 26, of Carson City exited the room quickly and closed the door behind him. The deputy smelled a faint odor of marijuana from the room.
The deputy found Delia Elaine Avina, 24, of Carson City and Amanda Marie McGarry, 25, a transient, in the room. Redwine consented to a search of the room later, and a drug-sniffing dog directed a deputy to about 1.25 grams of methamphetamine, a suspected meth pipe and a marijuana pipe.
Redwine was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a contrlled substance, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. Total bail was set at $3,500. Avina was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and a felony probation violation, as well as on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia. No bail was set on the probation-violation count. McGarry was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and arrest of probationer. Total bail was set at $6,500.
