Prep Roundup: Carson JV girls top Douglas

Brianna Alvarado scored 19 points and Melissa Glanzmann added 10 to lead Carson JV girls basketball team to an easy 37-19 win over Douglas Tuesday night at Morse Burley Gym.

Carson improved to 16-1. Genevieve Stodick-Dryer led Douglas with 12.


JV BOYS

Carson 43, Douglas 39

MINDEN — Carson pulled away from rival Douglas to improve to 15-2 on the year on Tuesday.

The game was tied with 1:10 left to play. Cody Azevedo led the Senators with 13 points. Tez Allen added nine points and Jace Keema scored seven.


FRESHMEN BOYS

Carson 58, Douglas 31

MINDEN — Derek Schafer led Carson with 12 points in Carson’s win over Douglas on Tuesday. Connor Quilling added 8 points.


FRESHMAN GIRLS

Carson 48, Douglas 23

MINDEN — Josie Share scored 15 points to lead Carson to an easy win over the Tigers.

Carson improved to 16-1.

Molly Otto added eight points and Sophia Ruedy chipped in seven.


VARSITY GIRLS

M. County 42, S. Lutheran 17

HAWTHORNE — The Serpents held Sierra Lutheran to single digits in each quarter en route to an easy Division IV win Tuesday night.

Sierra Lutheran fell to 7-11.

Cali Benton led the Falcons with six points, while Amy Westre added five. Westre added eight rebounds while Natalie Echeverria pulled down seven.


VARSITY BOYS

S. Lutheran 61, M. County 53

Michael Patrick scored 21 points and Nick Walker chipped in 20 as Sierra Lutheran pulled away in the fourth quarter. Sierra Lutheran is now 6-2 in Division IV action.
