Richard Ralph Adolph Joseph “Dick” Beaudette, 89, of Carson City, died June 17, 2014 at home with his children by his side. He was born July 2, 1924 in St. Paul, MN. Dick has been a Carson City resident since 1965. He served in the US Army during WWII and Korea. He was recognized in front of thousands at Free Enterprise in Portland, OR in 2011 and was selected for the Honor Flight in 2012, and most recently served as Grand Marshall of the Celebration of Heroes Parade in Virginia City in May. He was preceded in death by infant son Joseph, wife Betty, and grandson Alex. He is survived by Daughters: Donna Huberty and Mary (Todd) Gilmer. Son: Richard P. Beaudette and Sister: Yvonne Beaudette and Brother “Doc” (Pauline) Beaudette. Also 10 grandchildren: Bob, Debra and Darcie Huberty; Gianna (Jon) Skates; Adam and Gloria and Heather (Cody) Bennett; Caitlin and Nick Beaudette; and 4 great-grandchildren, George Huberty; Campbell and Amaya Skates; and Alora Bennett, and many loving relatives and friends. We will miss him dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held July 2, 2014 at 9:00 am at FitzHenry’s Funeral Home 3945 Fairview Dr. Carson City, NV. Inurnment with Full Military Honors will follow at noon at The Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
