Kaitlyn Jimmy was dominant for the Nevada Yellow WildCats 18 and under softball team, not allowing a hit over seven innings as the WildCats rolled to two wins on Friday in the All-World Sports World Series.

Jimmy picked up both wins for the WildCats as they beat the Valley Venom 10-2 at Stodick Park and the Fallon Rebels 11-0 at Cetennial Park. The WildCats are 3-0 in the tournament so far as they opened the tournament on Thursday with a 10-2 win over the Reno Diamonds.

The tournament concludes on Sunday with five championship games at Edmonds Park. The 18 and under championship game will be at 9:45 a.m.

Against Fallon, Jimmy pitched a no-hitter, striking out six and walking one over four innings. She struck out the final batter she faced to end the game.

The WildCats had its biggest inning in the third when it scored seven runs. Along with Purcell’s homer, Aaliyah Paxon and Taylor Hires-Caulk had RBI singles during the rally. The WildCats could have had a bigger inning if not for the fact Fallon turned a triple play in the inning.

Purcell’s RBI double and Kelsie Callahan’s RBI sacrifice fly gave the WildCats a 2-0 lead in the first.

Against Valley Venon, the WildCats scored four runs in the fifth inning on the strength of Hires-Caulk’s RBI double, a passed ball and Bailey Henderson’s RBI single. Michelle Perry also drove in a run during the inning.

Henderson had two RBI for the WildCats. Jimmy was the winning pitcher, not allowing a run or hit over three innings. She struck out one and didn’t walk a batter. Brianna Weber pitched the final two innings for the WildCats.
