Barnard tosses no-hitter for Carson Intermediate All-Stars

Jared Barnard threw a no-hitter as the Carson Intermediate All-Stars picked up their first win, 2-1, at the Little League Western Regionals in Nogales, Ariz. on Sunday.

Barnard threw a no-hitter, striking out nine batters and walking one. Washington scored its run on an error in the sixth.

Garret Damico had a single and two triples and knocked in one to lead Carson. Landon Truesdale and Joe Tonino also collected hits for Carson.

On Monday, Montana outlasted Carson 10-8.

Carson had a 8-6 lead until Montana scored four runs in the sixth inning

Carson took the lead in the first when Damico and Ian Pettersen both singled. Barnard singled home Damico and Barnard and Pettersen both scored on a two-run single by Kahle Good.

Damico and Good had both three hits. Good drove in four, Damico drove in two.

Truesdale had two hits, but took the loss on the mound.
