The Pacific Coast League has announced suspensions for six Reno Aces players under violation of the MLB/MiLB On-Field Behavior Policy stemming from their respective roles in the benches-clearing incident between the Aces and Albuquerque Isotopes during Reno’s 7-3 win Saturday night at Aces Ballpark.

Pitchers Andrew Chafin (seven games), Kameron Loe (four) and Will Harris (three), along with position players Mike Jacobs, Blake Lalli and Aaron Cunningham (three each) were disciplined by the league. Chafin and Lalli began serving their suspensions Monday in the series finale against Albuquerque. All players involved were also fined an undisclosed amount.

Due to the high volume of suspensions, the dates for Loe, Harris, Jacobs and Cunningham will be staggered and have yet to be determined.

The benches cleared twice during the at-bat of Albuquerque’s Erisbel Arruebarrena in the top of the second inning. The first incident occurred after the first pitch from Mike Bolsinger. An intensified incident came after Bolsinger struck out Arruebarrena. The latter resulted in a 21-minute delay and ten ejections.

Pacific Coast League policy states each team involved in an altercation resulting in fines and/or suspensions is handled at the discretion of their club’s policy.

Single-game tickets are on sale for the remaining 13 home games of the 2014 season. For information or to purchase an Aces ticket plan, call 775-334-4700.
