The Churchill County Middle School volleyball teams are on a hot streak.
The Lady Wave seventh graders beat Silverland (Fernley), 24-14, 17-25, 15-9, last week and then swept a pair of matches at the Lovelock tournament. Fallon dropped Battle Mountain, 25-8, 25-0, and needed three sets to beat Winnemucca, 25-5, 20-25, 15-10.
The eighth-grade team, meanwhile, swept Silverland, 28-18, 26-24.
Both clubs played Winnemucca in the regular season finale on Tuesday, but results were not available. The two teams compete in a season-ending tournament on Friday and Saturday in Dayton.
