Bighorns get split at home

The Oasis Bighorns lacrosse team split a pair of games with Mount Rose on Wednesday.

The under-13 club fell 6-5 in overtime with three goals from Anthony Lombardo and goals from Nico Hofheins and Damien Billips. The team is now 1-3 on the season.

The under-15 squad won 7-6 as Trey Rooks scored the game-winning goal with less than 1 minute in the game. Trent Thorn scored three goals with Kalabe Lombardo, Clayton Steelmon and Josh Carter adding scores. Goaltender Brendan Leary had eight saves.


Huckaby memorial tournament Saturday

The 19th annual Tracy Huckaby Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at the Fallon Golf Course on Saturday at 9 a.m.

It will be a shotgun start and is a four-person scramble. The event is limited to the first 18 teams.

Individual golfers will be placed on a team. The cost is $65 dollars for non-members and $25 dollars for members.

All proceeds go to the Fallon Junior Golf program. Registration deadline is April 26.

Junior golf starts Monday

The Fallon Junior Golf program begins Monday with registration at 4:30 p.m. at the Fallon Golf Course.

The cost is $15 and is limited to the first 75 children ages 6-17. The program will run from May 5-May 20 and will be every Monday and Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. Clubs may be provided to those who do not have their own set.
