Feb 01, 1960 - Oct 18, 2014

A simple man who thought first of others, Robin always gave of himself unconditionally. A USAF veteran and proud American, Robin was best known as a substitute teacher in Churchill and Lyon counties and the Park Ranger at the Berlin-Ichthyosaur Park, where he worked to improve the lives of kids and adults alike. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. His bright smile and infectious laughter lit up the stands at volleyball and football games, auditoriums for band concerts and dance performances, and Girl Scout cookie booths where he would donate his time as a volunteer. His love and support for his nieces and nephews is how Robin should be remembered. He is survived by his siblings Mike Riggs, Kris and Hayden Perrine, Steve and Glenda Riggs, Kenneth and Cathy Riske, David and Alisa Riske, and Tony and Cathy Vairo as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial celebration of Robin’s life will be held on Sunday, November Second 11am-2pmat the Carson City Veteran’s Hall on the corner of Curry and 2nd street. He was a loving man that cut a wide swath.
