Beatrice Ann Crace Sayre

October 10, 1946 - November 19, 2014

Beatrice Sayre passed away Wednesday on the 19th, after an extended illness and several admissions to Carson Tahoe Hospital. She and her husband, Larry Gene Sayre, have lived in Carson City since 2002. Bea is survived by her daughter, Anne Michel Sayre White, and her husband, Josh and their 4 year old daughter, Claire. Also surviving are her son, Richard Gene Sayre and his wife, Kim Foster Sayre and their 17 month old daughter, Katelyn. Bea also has two brothers and their families living in Ohio; Jack Crace and his family, Jim Crace and his family. Both of these families visited Bea here in Carson City this year during one of her hospital stays. Beatrice retired from the Cupertino High School District in 2001 and then from the Carson City Sheriff’s Department in 2010. She also worked for the Ohio Department of Education before moving to California in 1971. Bea and Larry came to love Carson City and the wonderful people who live here after residing in several other cities over the years. An informal memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 6th at Walton’s Funeral Home located at 1281 N. Roop st. In Carson City, Nevada. We are requesting that no flowers should be sent. However, if people would like, donations can be made in Bea’s name to the Carson-Tahoe Hospital Foundation, PO Box 2168, Carson City, NV 89702, in appreciation for the wonderful staff there who provided such skilled, professional and compassionate care for her this year.
