The Churchill County Middle School girls basketball teams had mixed results the last two week.

The eighth-graders are 3-1 in that span and improved to 8-2 overall, while the seventh-graders are 1-3 and fall to 3-7.

Against Silverland Middle School (Fernley), the eighth-graders rolled to a 45-26 win. They followed up wins over Yerington (43-15) and Battle Mountain (41-16). Fallon’s only blemish, though, came in a 31-17 loss to Winnemucca.

Against Silverland, Chandler McAlexander led Fallon with 16 points, while Kiana Arvizo tallied 10. Kenna Hamlin tallied seven, Alexis Jarrett and Lorynn Fagg each scored five and Allie Lister added two.

The seventh-graders, meanwhile, lost to Silverland (21-10), Yerginton (17-16) and Winnemucca (24-17). Their win came in a 40-4 blowout over Battle Mountain.

Against Silverland, Makenzee Moretto led Fallon with six points, while Karlee Hitchcock added three and Kinsli Rogne tallied one.

Statistics for the other games were not available.
