Platform: I care about our children and this community. Our community has a bright future. Everyone benefits with quality education. Education trains tomorrow’s workers and entrepreneurs. I want to help our teachers get what they need to have our children ready for a new era of jobs. I support what the District has put forward in their “Empower Carson City 2017” five year strategic plan. They realize that we do not have time to wait when it comes to education. I want to be a part of ensuring this plan’s success and developing plans for the future. We should invest in our children and governments should run efficiently and without waste. As a School Board Trustee, I hope to create greater community involvement. I am excited to introduce our children to local role models and, most importantly, developing parental involvement. Active parents produce outstanding kids. I lead a life of service. My occupation requires me to sacrifice myself and respond at a moment’s notice. I bring that same expectation to educating our children. We shall not let them fail. It is our job and duty as parents, educators and role models to ensure every child has an opportunity for success.
