The first County Commissioners meeting of September will be conducted Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.
Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:
Consideration and possible action regarding recommendation from the Safety Committee to adopt a CDL Medical Certificate Policy, Geof Stark, Human Resources Director.
Consideration and possible action regarding recommendation from the Safety Committee to expend funds from the Loss Control Excellence Program Award on AEDs for the Library and Museum, Geof Stark, Human Resources Director.
Consideration and possible action regarding advanced step appointment for a newly hired deputy district attorney, Arthur Mallory, district attorney.
Consideration and possible action regarding Bill2014-E, Ordinance 53, an ordinance amending Section 8.08.040 of the Churchill County code renaming the Churchill County Mosquito, Vector Control and Weed Abatement District as the Churchill County Mosquito, Vector Control and Noxious Weed Abatement District.
Consideration and possible action regarding request for funds from the Churchill Animal Protection Society for fiscal year 2014-2015.
Consideration and possible action regarding request for transfer of funds to the Churchill County Road Department for first and final payment on the Hunter Parkway Asphalt Improvement project and the Venturacci Lane Asphalt Improvement project and request for transfer of funds to the city of Fallon for the first and final payment on the 2014 street maintenance and repair materials.
Consideration and possible action regarding acceptance of engagement letter for agreed-upon procedures as required by Administrative Office of the Court of Nevada as numerated in the Nevada Courts Minimum Accounting Standards Guide for External Audits Version 1.0 for the Tenth Judicial District Court and the New River Township Justice Court.
Consideration and possible action regarding donation of an item for the Churchill County Museum Association’s NV 150 Time Capsule event.
Consideration and possible action regarding adoption of a proclamation declaring the month of September 2014 as Childhood Cancer Awareness month in Churchill County.
Consideration and possible action regarding performance evaluation of county manager.
