Arlie “Jay” Duckett passed away September 8, at the age of 82. He was married over 55 years to his wife Delores who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister Oleta LaRue of Crecent City, CA. He is survived by his daughter Karen, her husband Ron, grandchildren Mackenzie, Alex, his brother Ishmael of McMinnville, OR. He was blessed to be close to many nieces and nephews, especially Cindy Thompson of Carson City, NV. His last few years he spent many good times with Maxine Becker, his lifelong friend. He was born in Oklahoma and had a successful career as a mechanical engineer. He shares a registered patent with Karsten Solheim the father of the “Ping” putter. He was a pilot, loved to fish, boat and travel in his RV. Jay was a generous, kind and loving man who will be greatly missed. Donations may be made in Jay’s honor to the American Cancer Society. There will be a visitation for Jay on Saturday, September 13, 2014 starting at 1:00pm at Walton’s Funeral Home in Carson City, NV, Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm also at Walton’s.
