The Carson City Symphony Chorus and conductor Michael Langham invites high school and adult singers to join the chorus in at least three concerts — A Nevada 150 Concert on Oct. 26, Holiday Treat on Dec. 14 and Pops Party on June 14 — with the Carson City Symphony.

For its first performance of the season, the Symphony Chorus will be featured in “A Land of Sage and Sun” by Idaho composer Jim Cockey, “Home Means Nevada” by Bertha Raffetto, arranged by the symphony’s conductor David Bugli, and “This Marriage” by native Nevadan Eric Whitacre.

Auditions are not required. Rehearsals are held at 8:15 p.m. Tuesdays at First Baptist Church, 1750 N. Mountain St.

The Symphony Chorus is a community group that gets together for the pleasure of making music and performing with the orchestra.

To join, email Director Michael Langham at ccsingersdirector@gmail.com, or call the Symphony at 775-883-4154.
