Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of felony drug trafficking

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

THURSDAY

At 4:51 p.m., Michelle Carrasco, 36, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and a failure to appear in Reno. James Prater, 41, of Carson City also was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, driving on a revoked license and no insurance. Bail for Carrasco was set at $4,409 and bail for Prater was set at $2,500.

FRIDAY

At 11:33 a.m., a 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-drugs, intent to use drugs/chemicals-poison, and probation violation after deputies responded to a man seemingly unconscious in a car in the Market Street Walmart parking lot. Bail was set at $4,500.

At 2:38 p.m., a 46-year-old Washoe Valley woman was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and DUI-first offense after deputies responded to reports of an intoxicated driver. Bail was set at $3,500.

At 8:12 p.m., a 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense, basic speed 11-15 over and failure to appear traffic warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop near William and Anderson streets. Bail was set at $1,472.

At 9:29 p.m., a 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of battery and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $500.

At 10:02 p.m., a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous weapon, petit larceny, drunken pedestrian, and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies observed a seemingly intoxicated man walking down Winnie Lane. Bail was set at $3,275.

At 10:22 p.m. Jason Way, 36, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony attempted theft and felony parole and probation violation. No bail was set.

At 11:02 p.m., a 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense alcohol, littering and failure to dim headlights after deputies initiated a traffic stop near William and Stewart streets. Bail was set at $1,525.

SATURDAY

At 12:09 a.m., Juan Morales, 48, of Carson City, was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery with strangulation, felony possession of a controlled substance, and felony trafficking level 3 after deputies responded to a call of a woman whispering “please come, please come.” Bail was set at $57,500.

At 2:04 p.m., a 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-alcohol and license revoked after deputies responded to a call of a car hitting a large rock then driving off. Bail was set at $1,500.

At 2:56 p.m., Mark Teuscher, 53, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, violation of a suspended sentence and an assault warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop. Bail was set at $4,500.

At 3:52 p.m. a 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny after deputies responded to calls of two kids taking items from the Carson Street JCPenney. Bail was set at $250.

At 8:39 p.m., a 21-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of a failure to appear for traffic, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of informal probation after deputies responded to a call of marijuana being smoked in a house on the 1200 block of Woodside Drive. Bail was set at $2,450.

At 9:51 p.m., a 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-alcohol first offense, failure to stop at stop light, and failure to maintain single lane after deputies observed a car running a red light. Bail was set at $1,090.

SUNDAY

At 12:20 a.m., a 36-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of battery after deputies responded to reports of a fight at Jimmy G’s bar. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 1:38 a.m., Christopher Kaecker, 28, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no front plate license, violation of restricted license and Matthew Patellos, 23, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies initiated a traffic stop at near Winnie Lane and Carson Street. Patellos was later re-arrested at 4:30 a.m., on suspicion of felony trafficking 4-14 grams after deputies were clued in that he had hidden more drugs in his genital region. Bail for Kaecker was set at $3,575, and bail for Patellos was set at $23,500.

At 6:06 p.m., a 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer and a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a concealed weapon after deputies responded to a call of a fight breaking out on the 1300 block of Rand Avenue. Bail for the 23-year-old was set at $300 and bail for the 25-year-old was set at $2,500.

MONDAY

At 12:29 a.m., Robert Hudson, 28, of Carson City was arrested on felony trafficking 14-28 grams, felony possession of controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to a call of a possible drug deal.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
