Carson City Historical Society hosting annual ice cream social Saturday

Live music by the Millennium Bugs will be at Carson City Historical Society’s annual ice cream social from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Foreman-Roberts House Museum, 2107 N. Carson St.

Ice cream and refreshments are available for $3 per person. Native American arts and history will be offered at the event, as well as beading demonstrations, crafts, pegboard weaving, pine needle baskets, rug braiding and long rifle manufacturing.

Original paintings donated by Carson City artists will be raffled; the winning tickets will be announced at 7:30 p.m.

The event is presented in conjunction with the Jazz & Beyond Carson City Music Festival, which runs through Aug. 23. For more information, call Gary Cain at 775-885-7643.
