Attendees of a free tutor training workshop from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at Carson City United Latino Community will learn how to teach basic English to adults on a one-on-one basis.
Light snacks will be served, and instructional materials and training will be provided. Neither experience nor foreign language skills are necessary, but a commitment of 1-2 hours per week is expected.
United Latino Community is also hosting a free workshop about how to teach a citizenship class from 10 to 10:30 a.m. the same day. A weekly commitment of two hours for three months is expected. Volunteers are offered schedule flexibility.
