The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
Carson City
FRIDAY
At 5:30 p.m., Chelsea Cribbins, 25, of Mound House, was arrested on suspicion of felony failure to appear after deputies initiated a warrant service at the Highway 50 SlotWorld Casino. No bail was set.
At 5:45 p.m., a 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia and destruction of private property after deputies responded to reports of two men shoplifting at the William Street Smith’s. The second male, a 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny. Bail for the 24-year-old was set at $1,750 and bail for the 21-year-old was set at $250.
At 10:35 p.m., a 64-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near Carson Street Motel 6. Bail was set at $3,000.
SATURDAY
At 12:49 a.m., Louis Rivera-Hernandez, 22, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony false identification to avoid prosecution and conspiracy to commit burglary warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Long and Roop streets. Bail was set at $5,000.
SUNDAY
At 2:10 a.m., Jason Villafranca, 35, of Canyon Lake, Texas, was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery with strangulation, possession of stolen property and false imprisonment after deputies were dispatched to assist South Lake Tahoe Police with a subject at the Carson Street Marriot Courtyard. Villafranca allegedly strangled a female victim at the Tahoe Lake Shore Lodge in Lake Tahoe and fled the area. Bail was set at $18,500.
At 4:26 a.m., a 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense alcohol after deputies initiated a traffic stop near 1200 Stewart Street. Bail was set at $1,000.
At 3:30 p.m., Joshua Van Roy, 28, of Lake Tahoe, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a dangerous drug with out a prescription and petit larceny after deputies observed Walmart employees attempt to detain a man at the Market Street store. Bail was set at $5,250.
MONDAY
At 1:42 a.m., a 23-year-old Mound House woman was arrested on suspicion of two counts of contempt of court warrant and domestic battery warrants after deputies conducted a consensual stop at the Rand Street Chevron gas station. Bail was set at $$4,940.
The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
