Carson City Sheriff’s Office: More charges added to man arrested on suspicion of statutory sexual seduction

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 9 a.m., Jacob Houser, 21, of Carson City was arrested on statutory sexual seduction and incest. Bail was set at $100,000.

At 9:46 a.m., a 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 11:45 a.m., James Patterson, 20, of Dayton, was arrested on suspicion of felony child abuse causing physical harm or mental harm, domestic battery and assault after deputies responded to reports of a possible domestic dispute near the 1400 block of Stanford Drive. Patterson allegedly grabbed a two month old from its mother and suspended him by its arm for several seconds during an argument. Bail was set at $43,500.

At 3:24 p.m., Joseph Scurti, 27, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony parole and probation warrant and resisting an officer after taking deputies on a slow-speed chase on a scooter down Highway 50. Bail was set at $432.

At 6:33 p.m., a 50-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-second offense and domestic battery warrant near the 1400 block of Carson Street. Bail was set at $8,000.

At 6:54 p.m., a 26-year-old Mound House woman was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny, obtaining money under false pretenses and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription after deputies responded to reports of a woman returning items that she didn’t purchase from the Market Street Walmart. Bail was set at $5,250.

At 10:46 p.m., a 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny and resisting/obstructing with force after deputies responded to reports to a man stealing cigarettes from the 1600 block of 5th Street. Bail was set at $1,250.

At 6:58 p.m., a 24-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny after deputies responded to reports of a man taking items from the Market Street Walmart. Bail was set at $250.

At 11:51 p.m., a 25-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense after deputies initiated a traffic stop near William and Saliman Streets. Bail was set at $2,500.

SATURDAY

At 8 a.m., Carlos Diaz, 29, a transient was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony fugitive from justice. No bail was set.

At 12:51 a.m., a 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense and failure to maintain lane after deputies observed a vehicle swerving in and out of lanes near Highway 50 and College Parkway. Bail was set at $1,050.

At 12:42 p.m., a 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI after deputies responded to reports of a property accident at the College Parkway Maverick when a woman hit a gas pump with her vehicle. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 6:37 p.m., Alanso Rangel-Ahumada, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation warrant and a 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of resisting a peace officer and three counts of contempt of court after deputies received a Secret Witness tip that a known gang member was seen at the 1800 block of East Long Street. No bail was set for Rangel-Ahumada and bail for the 21-year-old was set at $30,250.

At 7:06 p.m., a 21-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of cell phone use, driving without a valid driver’s license, obstructing an officer, possession of marijuana and two counts of violation of bail conditions after deputies initiated a traffic stop at the College Parkway Maverick gas station. Bail was set at $7,050.

At 10:38 p.m., a 22-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense and no valid driver’s license after deputies responded to reports of a possibly intoxicated driver near Emerson Drive and College Parkway. Bail was set at $1,100.

At 11:21 p.m., a 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, two counts of battery on a peace officer, destruction of property and failure to appear warrant after deputies responded to reports of a possible domestic dispute. Bail was set at $6,728.

At 11:50 p.m., Victor Peter, 51, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI hit an run with injury and duty to render aid leaving scene after deputies responded to reports of an injury accident near Carson Street and Koontz Lane. Bail was set at $25,500.

SUNDAY

At 2:14 a.m., two 20-year-old Carson City men were arrested on suspicion of minor consuming alcohol and probation violation after deputies responded to a fight in progress near the 1800 block of Russell Street. Bail for both were set at $3,150.

At 2:30 a.m., a 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense alcohol and minor in consumption after deputies responded to reports of a possible intoxicated driver near Nye and Condor Lanes. Bail was set at $1,150.

At 2:58 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested for domestic battery near the 200 block of Fleischmann Way. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 3:53 p.m., a 59-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and no valid driver’s license after deputies responded to reports of a traffic accident near the 2300 block of Baker Drive. Bail was set at $1,100.

At 4:06 p.m., a 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense, license revoked,violation of suspended sentence and ex-felon failed to register after deputies responded to a warrant service near the 2300 block of Dori Way. Bail was set at $4,650.

At 4:14 p.m., a 58-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of stalking order. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 4:24 p.m., a 23-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to reports of a man who was on the wrong side of the 5th Street overpass bridge looking down into traffic. Bail was set at $2,686.

At 5:13 p.m., a 30-year-old transient woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near Bryan Circle. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 8:53 p.m., Derek Lopez, 20, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and petit larceny after deputies responded to a battery in progress at the College Parkway Maverick gas station. Lopez allegedly backed into a man in the parking lot after the man attempted to stop Lopez and his friends from stealing cases of soda from the gas station. Bail was set at $31,250.

At 8:06 p.m., a 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of filing a false police report after deputies responded to reports of a man using a credit card he claimed that had been stolen. Bail was set at $500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
