Fallon’s Josh Mauga and Kansas City won their seventh straight game after a five-game losing streak, handing San Diego a 10-3 defeat on Sunday in Kansas City.
The Chiefs (8-5) have a grip on one of the two wild cards going into Sunday’s road contest against Baltimore.
Kansas City returns home for the final two games of the season against Cleveland and Oakland.
The Chiefs, after a loss to the Broncos last week, still have a shot at the division as they sit two games out of first with three to play. Denver plays Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and San Diego to end the year.
Mauga continued to perform after nabbing an interception two weeks ago in front of family and friends at Oakland. Mauga had two tackles against the Chargers and has 41 tackles, two interceptions and one sack in his second season with the AFC West squad.
