Carson City Recreation’s Basic Dog Obedience program, instructed by Guy Yeaman begins Tuesday, Jan. 5 and runs through Feb. 9. Classes meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Exhibit Hall in Fuji Park.

Yeaman uses his 45-plus years of experience to help teach dogs to obey basic obedience commands — heel, sit, stand, down, stay, come, and others. Individual behavior problems will be addressed during the course of the class.

Each dog needs a training collar least four to six feet in length. Dogs must be current on all shots through Rabies. Written record must be shown at the first class.

The cost is $80. Register with Carson City Recreation www.carson.org/ccpr. For information, call Yeaman at 775-265-4530.
