Jean Elizabeth “Betty” Tedford went to Heaven on January 29, 2015. Betty was born, Jean Elizabeth Woodward on February 8, 1922 in White Rock, Elko County to James and Vivien (Williams) Woodward. As a young girl, Betty lived in various towns in Northern Nevada: Sulphur, Lovelock, Imlay, and Fallon. Betty graduated from Churchill County High School in 1939. On December 21, 1941, Betty married Charles Beach, an Army pilot. Three children were born: Cheryl, Richard and Kathryn. In 1959, after 18 years of marriage Charlie passed away. As a widow with 3 young children, Betty worked at Anderson Ford auto dealership (now Fallon Auto Mall) as a bookkeeper. On December 27, 1971, Betty married Jack N. Tedford, owner of JNT Construction. The two enjoyed 32 years of marriage together before Jack went to be with the Lord in 2003. While living in Fallon, Betty was a member of Parkside Bible Fellowship, volunteered at Community Service Thrift Store, attended Senior Center exercise classes, Have a Heart Bridge club, and the church birthday club. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Betty “Nana” is survived by Cheryl Rystrom (Gary), Richard Beach (Brenda), Kathryn Begbie (Howard). Also children by marriage Jack Tedford III (Nancy), Pam Wickizer (Sam) and Cindy Tedford Wall (deceased) survived by husband, Lynn. Grandchildren include Randy Rystrom (Lisa), Doug Rystrom (Diana), Gina Cox, Julie Begbie, Ricky Beach (Carly), Michelle Hallisey (Ryan), Amy Lawry, Jack Tedford IV (Mary), Jim Tedford (Taryn), Jennifer Vasquez (Barry), Amanda Wall, Natalie Wall, 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Parkside Bible Fellowship in Fallon, Nevada.
