A two-vehicle accident snarled traffic on West Williams Avenue near Allen Road early Wednesday afternoon.
A motorist in the right-hand lane heading west stopped to allow a motorist in a four-door sedan to cross the busy four-lane street. The motorist was trying to exit the parking lot at Jackson’s.
According to witnesses, a Ford Ranger pickup with a camper shell was heading west in the passing lane when the Nissan apparently clipped the truck, causing it to flip on its top.
Fallon Police Department is handing the investigation, while the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office is providing traffic control along with NDOT. Paramedics from Banner Churchill Community Hospital examined the drivers, but neither one of them wanted to be transported.
Because of gasoline leaking from the Ranger, the Fallon Churchill Fire Department was also dispatched.
