Bethany Kniffen, a student at Carson High School, is holding a medical supply drive to benefit Lamp of Grace Medical Mission, a remote medical facility in the Philippines, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Mike’s Pharmacy, as part of her senior project.

Kniffen, who plans to pursue a career in the medical field, is conducting the drive for a missionary doctor in Pilar, Philippines. She is keeping in communication with the doctor in the Philippines and has compiled a list of supplies.

Suggested items include: over-the-counter cold medications, antihistamines and antacids, toothbrushes, toothpaste, bandages, gauze, Benadryl, children’s Tylenol, Aleve, supplies for diabetics, and Q-tips.

To see the complete list of supplies, go to Mike’s Pharmacy, 1007 N. Curry St., or Hilltop Community Church, 3588 Romans Road, which is also accepting supplies through April 12.

For more information, call Kniffen at 775-315-7233, or email Kniffenbeth@gmail.com.
