SPARKS — Sparks police are investigating a small explosion that forced the partial evacuation of Sparks High School.

KTVN-TV reports a preliminary investigation indicates an e-cigarette exploded Monday morning in the school’s small gym.

Authorities say no one was injured.

School officials placed the school on a modified code yellow lockdown, but lifted that about 11:30 a.m. and all students returned to class.
