A Gardnerville man is in custody after deputies responded to a report of a Sunday night stabbing on High School Street.
Brett Preston Later, 44, was arrested after his daughter told deputies he’d stabbed her three times in the arm with a fire pit fork during an argument.
The incident was reported 7:55 p.m., according to Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Pat Brooks.
Later was tracked down by deputies and taken into custody on charges of domestic battery and battery with a deadly weapon. His bail has been set at $30,000.
