Four fire engines and two water tenders from the Fallon / Churchill Fire Department responded to a Thursday night fire that destroyed a house on Schindler Road.
According to the fire department, the units were dispatched after 10 p.m.
According to Facebook accounts, the occupant safely escaped the burning house, which was engulfed in flames when the fire department arrived. According to the FB posts, 12 of the owner’s 14 pets perished.
The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
No other information was available.
