School board meets Thursday

A regular meeting of the Churchill County School District Board will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Churchill County Administration Office, 690 S. Maine St.

Items to be discussed and that are up for possible actions include the following:

For discussion and possible action: Regarding leasing the district’s water rights or transferring the water rights to property within the district.

For discussion and possible action: The board will determine the number of scholarships and the amount of money for the Churchill County School Board of Trustees Scholarship(s) for the 2014-2015 Seniors.

For discussion only and possible action: Regarding rescheduling February’s board meeting dates to Feb. 5 and Feb. 19th.

For discussion and possible action: Regarding separating the budget committee and audit committee

For discussion and possible action: Regarding whether the policy committee will be continued and if so, who will serve on the committee.

For discussion and possible action: Regarding agreed-upon procedures when board members have questions related to items on the consent agenda.

For discussion and possible action: Regarding the number of board member requests that a Trustee can have pending at one time.
