Julian Leo Chada, 94, died on the morning of Jan. 18, 2015, at his home in Dayton. He was born on July 1, 1920, in Sagamore, Penn., one of 10 children. He was the last surviving member of his family and a WWII veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mary, a son, Richard, grandchildren Angeli Orme and David Haines and great granddaughter, Aurora Haines. He and Mary also had a daughter, Julee, who died in 2007. Julian lived around the country during his life, including Pennsylvania, Idaho, Wyoming, California and Nevada, and was a businessman and electrician. He owned the Tropicana Motel in Lake Tahoe during the 1960s and 1970s and retired in Dayton to be near their children and grandchildren. Julian was very active with the senior community in Dayton, as recently as just a few years ago, leading exercise classes there each week. He will be interred at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Fernley.
