The Carson City Chamber of Commerce, 1900 S. Carson St., is holding a grand opening and open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday to unveil its new Artisan Showcase, a collection of work by regional artists.

Metal artisan Robbie St Clair, creator of a grand opening sculpture for the Chamber and the eagle seen along Interstate-580 at Carson City’s northern corridor, will provide insight into his art and talk about how he got started and what inspired him.

The Chamber commissioned St Clair to recreate the freeway eagle to a size suitable for displaying in the home or on desks. At just 18-inches high, the Eagle Valley eagles are small enough to grace any home or desk and are available for purchase.

Refreshments will be served at Saturday’s event.
