Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Montana woman arrested on suspicion of grand larceny

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

WEDNESDAY

At 9:53 a.m., Carolyn LaPlaunt, 41, of Butte, Mont., was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance sale, felony grand larceny and felony burglary after deputies located her at the Juvenile Detention Center. Bail was set at $50,000.

At 11:20 a.m., Michael Trute, 56, of Minden was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence with substantial bodily harm warrant. Bail was set at $10,000.

At 1:50 p.m., a 31-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny after deputies responded to reports of a man taking items from the Carson Street Sportsman’s Warehouse. Bail was set at $250.

At 8:33 p.m., a 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense after deputies stopped to help a woman sitting on the sidewalk nursing a wound near Plaza and Telegraph streets. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 11:17 p.m., a 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense and a 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a temporary protection order after deputies responded to reports of a domestic dispute near the 2000 block of College Parkway. Bail for the woman was set at $3,000 and bail for the man was set at $1,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
