Candy Trenoweth passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital in Reno on July 12, 2015 at 12:01pm. Born on September 7, 1944 in Franklin, Indiana to Jim and Peg Julius, Candy spent her childhood in Boise, ID. She attended Boise High School, and Boise Junior College where she earned a degree in home economics. In 1962 she met her husband Roy Trenoweth in Missoula, MT while attending the University of Montana. They were married in Honolulu, Hawaii while Roy was on Army Leave on September 27, 1967. They welcomed their first daughter, Tricia in 1972. In 1973 the family moved to Carson City when Roy was hired by the Nevada Division of Forestry. Candy and Roy welcomed their second daughter, Traci in 1983. When Traci began elementary school, Candy substitute taught in Carson City for over 30 years where she especially enjoyed working with young children and severe and profound students. She loved to volunteer at church, leading the youth group and in the elementary school classrooms doing holiday crafts. She spent many years playing in several bridge groups. Helping friends with home improvement projects and wall-papering were also one of her many past times. Candy was sassy, driven, and strong. She had a generous heart and was loved by many. Candy’s spirit was tough and she taught her daughters the values of strength and determination. Candy was a loving, proud, and devoted wife and mother. All that knew her would discover how beautiful life could by simply looking outside the box. While our hearts break with the thought of not seeing her again or hearing her voice, we are so full of love for the lady who gave us everything. Candy is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Peg Julius and cousin Sariann Crowley. She is survived by her husband Roy Trenoweth, daughters Tricia Trenoweth, and Traci Angel, sons in law Jeff Trefz and Jared Angel, Unk Bob Carlson, and cousins Gen Ludwig, J. Ludwig, Jimmy Carlson, Sam Carlson, and Debbie Saylor. Candy also leaves behind many close friends. Services will be held at 12:01 pm Saturday July 18 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Family in Carson City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or the Daughters of Norway Lodge #42 in Carson City.
