Carson City church pastor to interview rock and roll figures on radio program

Dr. Ken Haskins, also known as the Rockin’ Rev, will be interviewing a couple of livewires from the golden age of rock and roll this Saturday on his radio program, Reminiscing with the Rockin’ Rev, which airs from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday on AM 1180 KCKQ. The theme of this week’s program is “Wonderful One-Hit Wonders.”

The Rockin’ Rev will interview Bob Kuban at 2:30 p.m. Bob Kuban & The In-Men scored a major hit in 1966 with “The Cheater,” whose lyrics prefigured the untimely death of lead vocalist “Sir” Walter Scott who was murdered by his wife’s lover.

The Rev will host Frankie Ford, whose hits include “Sea Cruise,” at 4:30 p.m.
