YEC hosts networking mixer, business classes

FALLON — The Young Entrepreneurs Collective (YEC) and the city’s Co-Working Space continue to give rural entrepreneurs a leg up by hosting a business mixer and six free entrepreneurial education classes to better themselves as business owners

The YEC hosts a networking mixer at the Co-Working Space June 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The mixer brings business owners and entrepreneurial-minded people together to collaborate benefiting the community and building a support system for new entrepreneurs.

The Co-Working Space is the venue for six free entrepreneurial classes taught by Northern Nevada business and marketing professionals. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the scheduled classes, valued at $700.

Wednesday, June 24, 6:30 p.m. Social Media for Businesses

Wednesday, July 1, 6:30 p.m. Email Marketing for Businesses

Wednesday, July 8, 6:30 p.m. How to Create a Business Website

Wednesday, July 15, 6:30 p.m. Design 101 for Businesses

Wednesday, July 22, 6:30 p.m. How to Write a Press Release

Wednesday, July 29, 6:30 p.m. Networking 101 for Business Owners

Aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners alike are encouraged to take part in both the mixer and classes in addition to using the Co-Working Space’s amenities. These opportunities are designed to help business-minded individuals network and ultimately have the necessary resources to start businesses.
