Martha and the Vandellas to appear on Carson City man’s radio program

That Groovy Girl Group Sound: The Ladies of Rock & Roll is this week’s program on Reminiscing With the Rockin’ Rev, a radio program featuring Ken Haskins, pastor of Carson City’s First Christian Church.

Annette Beard and Rosalind Ashford, original members of Martha and the Vandellas, whose hits include “Heat Wave,” “Dancing in the Street,” “Jimmy Mack,” “Quicksand,” “Nowhere to Run,” and “Come and Get These Memories,” will be featured.

The show runs from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday on AM 1180 KCKQ. It can also be streamed live at www.americamatters.us.
