Commissioners meet Thursday

The first County Commission meeting of March will be held today at 8:15 a.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding a Yucca Mountain presentation.

Consideration and possible action regarding Bill 2015-C, Ordinance 71, an ordinance making changes to Title 13 Water and Sewer, Sections 13.04.090, 13.04.490, 13.05.110, and 13.05.450, changing the due date of monthly utility bills and the definition of a delinquent account.

Consideration and possible action regarding Bill 2015-B, Ordinance 114, an ordinance making it unlawful to allow dogs to run at large and making it unlawful to allow dogs to bark for an extended period of time above a certain noise level.

Consideration and possible action regarding recognition of Child Support Office for receiving 100 percent on their federal audit.

Consideration and possible action regarding reversion to acreage map for William T. Hetland for property located on Solias Road, APN 006-4 71-16 and 17.

Consideration and possible action regarding the Washburn Family Trust-an application for a Sending Site and Transfer of Development Rights calculation located at 5755 Weaver Road, APN: 006-831-39.

Consideration and possible action regarding a presentation by the Coalition for the Senior Center of proposed new facility and Resolution 06-2015 recognizing the importance of the Senior Center and reserving and committing financial resources to be used as matching funds for a new facility.

Consideration and possible action regarding a presentation and discussion on project delivery methods for major capital improvements and development of a request for qualifications template.

Consideration and possible action regarding a request to transfer funds to the city of Fallon as final payment for the Whitaker Lane Traffic Signal Retrofit project.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of connection of the Fallon Golf Course to the Churchill County Water System.

Consideration and possible action regarding nomination of a voting member to the Nevada Homeland Security Working Group.

Consideration and possible action regarding submittal of a request for funding to the Carson Water Subconservancy District for the Lahontan Valley Water Level Measurement program.

Consideration and possible action regarding comments on the Fallon Range Training Complex Environmental Impact Statement.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of Resolution 07-2015 declaring certain computer equipment previously in use by the District Attorney’s office as surplus and no longer required for public use and authorizing the District Attorney to dispose of said equipment by any manner.

Consideration and possible action regarding Resolution 08-2015 authorizing the Road Department to perform work on bridges without prior approval of the board where the cost does not exceed $100,000.

Consideration and possible action regarding purchase of property, APN no. 01-494-35, located on South Maine Street.
