With same-day appointments, on-site labs and X-rays, the new Banner Health Center in Fernley which opens Monday offers primary care for the entire family.
The 13,670-square-foot facility is located at 1260 Nevada Pacific Blvd.. Community members can tour the clinic at the grand opening planned from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 21.
Participants will be offered refreshments, giveaways and health screening information and have an opportunity to meet the providers and staff and even make an appointment.
“Banner Medical Group is pleased to continue to provide quality patient care in Northern Nevada with added convenience and increased services for our community,” said Justin Heath, DO, practice site lead.
Banner’s existing family medicine clinic at 805 E. Main St., will be closing, and all services will move to the new Banner Health Center.
Primary care will be offered by Banner Medical Group providers Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Same-day and next-day appointments are available and the office offers on-site X-rays, labs and minor in-office procedures.
The center was designed to include unfinished “shelled” space to accommodate additional providers to meet future community needs. Clark & Sullivan Construction is the general contractor for the $9.8-million project.
“This new health center will provide residents of Fernley and the surrounding communities access to additional quality health services provided by Banner Health at more convenient times,” said Scott Baker, Vice President of Operations for Banner Medical Group in the Western Region.
