Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Two arrested on suspicion of domestic battery

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 3:10 p.m., Drake Martin, 20, was arrested on suspicion on four counts of sexual assault of a person under age 14. He was held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

At 9 p.m., a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violating his parole-probation prohibition against drinking at the Carson Nugget. He was ordered held without bail. The other 27-year-old with him was arrested on a Douglas County warrant charging he failed to complete court-ordered community service. He was held in lieu of $1,000 bail.

At 9:06 p.m., a 32-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny at Walmart. She was also held on a Douglas County warrant charging failure to appear in court. Total bail was set at $802.

SATURDAY

At 12:15 a.m., a 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of violating a stalking order after the person who had the order against him was discovered with him in the car during a traffic stop on Arrowhead at Emerson drives. Bail was set at $4,000 on that and a charge of violating probation conditions.

At 2:14 a.m., a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of an embezzlement charge after her vehicle was stopped on Saliman Road for speeding. The warrant issued by Carson Justice Court set bail at $1,000.

At 8:22 a.m., an 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer for allegedly refusing to help identify the person who stole a relative’s vehicle and damaged it. Bail was set at $250.

At 5:39 p.m., a 57-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt and disorderly conduct after deputies were sent to an address on Wendy Lane for a report of an intoxicated woman yelling obscenities and rolling around in the dirt. Bail was set at $650.

At 5:40 p.m., a 24-year-old transient was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle without insurance, an expired registration and not having a valid driver’s license following a traffic stop at Woodside and Siskyou. Bail was set at $750.

At 9:09 p.m., a 58-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman was arrested on suspicion of a Douglas County warrant charging failure to pay fines following a traffic stop at 10th and Carson streets. She was also charged with driving without a valid license. Her bail was set at $600.

At 10:07 p.m., a 35-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense following a traffic stop at 3rd and Curry streets. He was also charged with rolling through a stop sign and having a broken taillight. Total bail was set at $1,075.

SUNDAY

At 3:09 p.m., two men were arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense after deputies were called to an apartment on south Carson Street. Puataunofo Vaivai, 23, was charged with a felony because he allegedly strangled a man. His bail was set at $15,000. The 21-year-old described as his cousin was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and held in lieu of $3,000 bail.

At 11:16 p.m., a 29-year-old was charged with domestic battery-first offense after deputies were called to a residence by his wife who said he pushed and slapped her. He was held in lieu of $3,000 bail.
