RENO — Reno police are searching for a suspect in the theft of an urn filled with a baby’s ashes.

Police have identified the suspect as 27-year-old Holly Miller, a former acquaintance of the woman whose 2-day-old son died in 2012.

Miller also is wanted on an unrelated burglary warrant in Douglas County. Police say she’s known to frequent the downtown Reno area.

Investigators say Ashleigh Schneider filed a burglary report on Tuesday after she noticed the child’s urn and other items were missing from her storage unit in Reno. She says she recently moved from Reno to Lovelock and was storing some items in the unit for safe keeping during the move.

Anyone with information should call Reno police at 775-334-2144, or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
